Botox

Frown lines on your forehead? Crows feet appearing? These areas now can be temporarily injected away. Botox is a serum that is injected into the muscle, and within a few days, those lines are erased away. The procedure is performed by a physician and actually takes only a few minutes. After the injection, you will be asked to squeeze your muscles to help the serum penetrate into the muscle. You will be asked not to lie down or put your head down for 5-6 hours after the treatment. The action of the Botox is to paralyze your muscle, thus not enabling you to create those frown lines on your forehead, or those crow's feet from squinting. You must stop taking aspirin for 2 weeks prior to the procedure. The results from Botox can last 3 to 6 months.

Skin Fillers

This is a safe, non-surgical treatment which is injected into the skin to smooth your facial lines temporarily and our physicians will tailor your treatment to fit your needs. Restylane is a safe and natural cosmetic filler available to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles such as nasolabial folds. Unlike others, it is not animal based, therefore eliminating concern of animal-related allergic reactions. No pre-testing is required and the effects can last six months or longer.

Sclerotherapy

Unslightly spider veins, usually on the legs, can be treated in our office. Whether you have a few scattered spider veins, or larger areas of veins that look like "spider webs", our physicians can inject these veins with a sclerosing solution to irritate the lining of the vessel and eventually cause the vein to fade and disappear. After several sessions, depending our the extent of correction needed, you no longer need to be concerned about exposing your legs during the summer months

Chemical Resurfacing

We offer several types of chemical peels, including Jessner's solution, glycolic acid and trichloracetic acid. Depending on the strength of the solution, superficial to medium depth peels can be accomplished. If you have melasma, irregular skin discolorations, dyschromia, or fine wrinkles, you may benefit from one of our peels.

Diolite 532: Laser for Facial Telangiectasias and Lentigines

Telangiectasias of the face are obvious, small, reddish blood vessels typically seen on the nose and cheeks. These generally are hereditary in nature and represent an over enlargement of the smallest blood vessels of the face. They are also induced by excessive sun exposure. The DioLite 532 Laser is an excellent laser for removal of these vessels. One treatment will clear approximately 65% of vessels treated which generally results in a marked improvement in the look of the skin. The DioLite 532 Laser is essentially non-painful and no anesthetic is necessary. There is just a minimal sensation with each pulse of the laser and most patients are extremely happy with the results. Lentigines are freckles and are also well treated with the DioLite 532 Laser. One treatment can significantly reduce the discoloration of this brown patch on the skin, resulting in an even, pleasant skin tone.

Glycolic Acid Peels

This physician strength treatment refines the texture of the skin, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reduces the incidence of acne, and improves pigmented areas. Low strength (20-30%) glycolic acid treatments administered by our aesthetic staff can be used for milder degrees of these problems.
